I have added Related Entries, based on similar tagging, to both the normal Entry templates and the Mobile (iPhone) Entry templates. Check it out here and here.

So far this is live on this Developer Blog and on the Sports Blog. Soon it will be live on all the other blogs.

iMT is the iPhone interface for Movable Type. Thankfully the CSS has been updated for iPhone OS 3.0, but alas, it won't work with FastCGI. This seems to be the same issue I am having with the Photo Gallery template set I am having, dynamically changing files don't work when the MT app is cached.

In this instance, the CSS and templates for the new entry screen will stay as the "mobile" version if they are accessed on an iPhone, even when viewing it on a desktop browser.  So no more iMT for BG Views Network. Oh well.

A couple days ago I reported that the Mobile template search function was close to complete. It is now up and running. I just rebuilt our Sports and Food blogs. So if you go to those sites on your mobile phone, you will now be able to search the entire blog. Enjoy!

It seems I have a couple wrinkles to iron out, but I have search for the mobile template finished. In Movable Type terms, this requires a second search results template and a config directive, read about that at MT.org if you are so inclined.

For those who want to see it in action, head over to the Mobile Edition of the Dev Blog. There are still some bugs, but it works well.

With a bit of help from Chase, the mobile phone template for our calendar is done. As stated earlier, we are using Helios for our calendars, and it is great that it supports a mobile template. However, they are pretty plain jane.

Have not had a lot of time to blog, but have been getting a lot done for BG Views. One thing that I have completed is the Mobile template. This template takes cues from the iPhone obviously but it works on any mobile device, I am not using any fancy JavaScript, for example.

For as much of this site as possible, we will have mobile versions of all content. The only reason we do not have it is if the software used will not export to a secondary template. All the blogs and forums will have mobile versions.

This is a Movable Type template based on Taichi Kaminogoya's template set. Changes were made in CSS to make it look good on tihngs other than an iPhone/iPod Touch.

At the bottom of the Home Page, there is a More link, this will allow you to see more than just 10 articles. The inside pages are also built to look like a native iPhone app.

The inside template displays the name of the blog in the header, so you don't get confused. In the footer of each page is a link to go to the full version of the site.

The next step is to enable iPhone app-like effects like page turning, Tap-To-Email and the like. Also slated for the future of the mobile sites is to add search and comments.
