No... not Brooklyn. I have officially moved on and am currently working for the University of Michigan. Last month, I accepted a position at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts'
Instructional Support Services as an Instructional Technology Consultant. I design & develop instructional technology learning modules,
plan/coordinate/direct work of multiple instructional technology
projects, train faculty & students to use instructional software,
and research instructional technology.
I believe my time at the BG News/BG Views/ UniGraphics/BGSU/etc. etc. etc. was definitely time well spent. Working on the new web site gave me new challenges that I had not faced before. I had done some web work in the past, but it was never anything quite this big. As I start working on new projects at U of M, I will able to take some of this new expertise and apply it in the workplace.
There were many other projects that came along while I worked with Ken and the others. Whether it was disinfecting the server from the virus, installing software on the new iMacs, or simply answers tech-related questions that came up in the newsroom, it was very enjoyable and kept pushing me in the right direction.
Thanks to everyone that I worked with in Bowling Green! It was a great time and I look forward to visiting with all of you in the future. If you guys are ever in the Ann Arbor area, be sure to look me up!
...and Ken, I swear I'll get you some of the custom Guitar Hero games one of these days. ;-)
You have said that for six months Chase! I am glad you found a job, and one you like.
